Isabel is in her seventh year performing with West Arts. She was introduced to this program through the ESP summer camp and fell in love with musical theater and performing. She has been involved in 16 productions and thus is excited to give back to the program by being a staff member. Isabel’s favorite musicals consist of: The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, The Wizard of Oz, and Chicago. Isabel has been inspired by her fellow cast mates over the years, and she looks forward to assisting future students in developing their singing, acting, and dancing skills. She believes that practice, dedication, and passion for what you do will open many doors. One of her favorite quote is “A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.” –The Wizard of Oz
Alexa has been performing with West Arts for over five years. She found WAP when she was in third grade by a flyer that was handed out in class and her first show was Alice in Wonderland. With her experience on stage, she has learned to grow fond of the character she plays, and soon can’t wait to be on staff and to be able to help all of her fellow cast members. Alexa’s favorite musicals are Wicked, Legally Blonde, Grease, Dear Evan Hansen, Footloose, and Rent. She can’t wait to help out her cast members more and to help them realize their passion for performing. Through all her hard work, she has made some of her life long best friends and the performing arts has taught her to take risks because you only live once. A quote Alexa lives by is “Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” -Les Brown
Abbie fell in love with performing at the age of 10 where she started out as a dancer, primarily in ballet. Her love of performing grew into other areas including acting and singing, and even more into the production side (behind the scenes) of theatre. Her favorite musicals include: Heathers, Waitress, Come from Away, Hello Dolly, and The Addams Family. She is currently majoring in child development at Golden West College and works as a nanny. Abbie hopes that the performers not only develop a deeper love for theatre and performing but learn responsibility and commitment to something that they all have their part in creating.
